In the mid 80’s Universal Welding developed the Universal Series Magnetic Separator for use in foundry blast applications to separate and clean shot and sand.  The system starts with a rotary screen or tramp screen, followed by two magnetic drums with bi-pole flux fields and finished off with an air-wash classifier.  The result is outstanding magnetic separation of shot and sand, longer blast machine blade and liner life, reduced blast cycle times, and lower overall operating costs.  We fully support our equipment with parts and service.  Universal offers three sizes of magnetic separators depending on media loading.  Please contact us to discuss your needs.
