A new customer came to us with a rush request for 2 week delivery of a large structural fabrication, approximately 5’ x 9’ x 11’ long. We bid the fabricating on a Tuesday and indicated we could hit a 2-week delivery after receipt of order. The next day, Wednesday, the order was placed and the requested timing was just 12 calendar days AND we were asked to provide blast and epoxy paint (another two days of processing). Working through both weekends, we were able to beat the customer’s requirement. We shipped the unit on a Sunday morning, 11 days after it was ordered. The customer was very pleased with Universal Welding’s quality, rapid response and communication throughout the project.
